Sustainability at Cisco Live

Event Information

Cisco Live 2026 Amsterdam is striving for positive change and is committed to focusing on sustainability, minimising its impact on the environment whilst supporting and investing in social initiatives.

Our Approach

· Promote the responsible use of resources throughout the supply chain

· Ensure an inclusive and fully accessible event

· Actively reduce the negative impacts and increase positive impacts on the environment and local community

· Drive more sustainable behaviour within our supply chain, partners and attendees

Carbon Management Plan

Reducing the events carbon footprint is a key focus, we have worked to engage the whole supply chain to provide data for all the materials, consumables and hired equipment that are brought onto site to deliver the event. We are also capturing all transport data relating to staff and materials delivery in addition to power and water consumptions. We use an online platform to accurately calculate our carbon footprint and post event do detailed reporting and analysis to identify areas where reductions can be achieved.

Waste Management

We have engaged a dedicated waste team to proactively manage the waste that Cisco Live generates. The team work with the supply chain to minimise waste and ensure our waste policy is adhered to. The team also support suppliers onsite to ensure waste goes into the correct waste streams to maximise our waste recover rates and work with The RAI on a Donation Station initiative that ensures any reusable materials or items from the event are donated to local charities, colleges and community groups.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

For attendees who require additional support we aim to ensure the event is accessible by providing ramps, elevators and also visual and auditory aids were required. Our Inclusive Futures track covers a variety of subjects covering inclusion and diversity in the technology industry.

Engaging the Cisco Live Community

We actively encourage the whole Cisco Live community – participants, sponsors, suppliers, staff and crew to engage in the positive changes we can all make for the future and do their part in helping us to achieve our sustainability ambitions.

At the Purpose Pavilion, attendees can learn more about Cisco Crisis Response and explore how Cisco is uplifting communities, scaling climate action, and building an inclusive digital future.   Visit the Purpose Pavilion team to learn more Cisco’s Purpose and how we combine our technology, people, and broader networks to address society’s greatest challenges.

Visit our social Impact activity on stand A26 where this year, we’re proud to support NoWa—a company dedicated to recycling mobile phones and transforming the valuable materials inside into stunning jewelry. By taking part in this give-back initiative, you’ll help recover gold and silver from old devices, turning them into beautiful pieces while reducing e-waste and keeping it out of landfill sites.
